If you hold membership in an organization for literary or non-fiction writers or translators, playwrights, publishers, journalists or booksellers, you should qualify for membership in Norwegian PEN.
All writers and publishers who depend on freedom of expression or freedom to publish in their daily work, should apply for membership in Norwegian PEN. By doing so you support the international, humanitarian work carried out by Norwegian PEN, PEN International and PEN-centers around the world.
Send us a few lines about yourself and your work. The boar makes the final decision on all new memberships. Membership applications can be submitted to
pen@norskpen.no or to Norsk PEN, wergelandsveien 29, 0167 Oslo. Once your membership is confirmed you will receive information about our rules and regulations in the mail. You will also be asked to settle the annual NOK 400,- membership fee. Please note that you will not be registered as a member and receive information from Norwegian PEN until the fee has been paid.
